Wednesday - halfway through the first week, and I got to help out in the Math class! I feel like Mike Cassidy would be proud :) I think I'm going to make it in High School, I just need to find someone to sit with at lunchtime. Lunches are great here, by the way. Number one, they're free, because in Sweden all students (and I guess Student Teachers) are given a hot lunch. It's not mom's home cooking, but it's pretty good. There's always salads and some sort of pasta or potato dish. I think I'm eating better here than I was in Canada. The first day I asked some of my students if I could sit with them, but I realized that for them "sitting with the teacher" (despite how much like a student I look) isn't really cool. The second day I sat by myself, which was kind of lonely and solicited some snickers from the Junior High students who were sitting near me, but I managed to fix that (slightly) today - I sat with two teachers that spoke Swedish the whole time. I'm determined to pick up the language, and for some reason I think I'm going to pick up the most in when I'm in the Math class...like today, I learned that 'visa' in Swedish is 'show'.
