One thing that I haven't written about - but I LOVE - is lunchtime. During the week, I take my lunches at the cafeteria, which is housed in the hospital and just up the road from the Bokenskolan. From what I have observed, there is a public gym and the cafeteria in the basement of one wing of the hospital, and then the hospital itself is the upper floors. I don't have a picture of it to post today, but I'll make sure to take one soon. Lunch today was particularly exciting - I saw a helicopter landing on my walk up to the cafeteria. It was pretty neat to see the snow swirling around at the top of the little hill I have to climb to get to lunch - the helipad is just across the road from the hospital parking lot, so I was able to see the helicopter up close (it was a police helicopter) I'm sure something will be written about it tomorrow in the newspaper, and I'll try my best to decipher what was going on.
I made the mistake of being excited for lunch today - it was lasagna, my favorite, but not ever having eaten cafeteria lasagna before, I may have been a bit over-zealous.
This is what the menu looks like for the year - I have to google translate most of it so I know what I'll be eating, unless I choose to be surprised.
